In a recent south-west run, Neil druckmann, executive producer of HBO’s last survivor, told ign that HBO’s last survivor will directly open the dialogue from the original, but some of the plots will “deviate greatly” from the previous episodes.
Of course, Neil druckmann cannot reveal too much about the exact plans for TV series, such as comparing it with games, but he explains that viewers will definitely recognize some lines and be surprised at most of the episodes.
“The plot is sometimes very close,” said Neil druckmann. It’s interesting to see my dialogue in HBO’s script. Sometimes they deviate a lot because we deal with a different medium.
For example, in the game, there are many actions to teach players the game mechanism. In a way, TV plays have to have more violence than games, because you don’t need to train viewers how to use guns. So it’s a very different thing, HBO has been pushing us away from core actions and focusing more on the drama of the role. So far, some of my favorite clips are quite different from the original story, and I can’t wait to let you see them. “
